AB Athletic Development offers baseline testing and pre-screening evaluations to athletes, runners and fitness enthusiasts of ALL AGES who are interested in getting better and staying healthy!
Athletes, you can’t showcase your skills if you’re injured AND you can’t expect to improve your athletic ability if you don’t know what to work on. Baseline numbers are important for tracking progress as a player develops. Runners, if the way you run is causing problems at your hips, knees and ankles, then there’s something wrong with your running gait. Changing shoes may not even be the case! Weekly warriors, if you have low back pain or knee pain, it could be coming from your pelvic region and your posture could be a disaster. Before you crank your workouts out and add to this existing problem, lets take a look at where the pain is really stemming from.
The Pre-Screening aspect of this program is a system that monitors specific movement patterns. An individual is put through a series of exercises and given a score on how well the exercises are performed. With these basic movements, we can identify movement limitations and develop corrective exercises to address the individual’s limitations and asymmetries. This injury prevention protocol is a tremendous asset to anyone who loves to train and work hard!
The Baseline Testing aspect of this program is for Athletes only and will include exercises that focus on lower body power, upper body power, rotational power, speed and agility. Assessment forms will be provided within 1 week of the testing protocol. This will include all baseline numbers, screening evaluation grades and exercises for improvement. Assessment forms will be sent via email in a downloadable PDF form.
