A.B. Athletic Development’s new facility is not a typical indoor batting cage rental location – it is an athletic training facility. Current D1 and professional players come to AB and are amazed at the facility’s layout. The facility is 7,000 sq feet and features a weight room, three batting cages, a video lab for research by our staff and players. The batting cages can be pulled back to open up a 4,000 sq ft area for infield work, throwing, speed & agility training and yoga. The new facility also features a lounge for players and parents to relax away from the training areas. There is also a locker room area where athletes can leave their training shoes, batting gloves and drop of school bags before working out. Other features of the facility are:
- 33-Yard Sprinting Lane
- One 70′ batting cage, two 55′ batting cages
- Turf strip in the weight area for speed & agility drills
- Block walls for medicine ball throws and infield work
- Ability to make full-distance throws for softball and little league catchers
- Big Screen TV in Baseball/Softball Area for video instruction during hitting, pitching and infield sessions
