It is easy to write that you are different, but it doesn’t matter unless you really are. We have played Divison I and professional athletics. We have been training athletes for years and have helped many move on to college careers. We use innovative equipment… This is all nice, but how much does it really matter?
Other people could purchase our equipment. Anybody could open a facility and offer programs similar to ours. But they won’t be the same. The difference is the “why” behind why we do this. This isn’t our job – this is our passion.
“Maximize long-term shareholder wealth.”
While trying to explain how A.B. is different, this phrase hit A.B. cofounder Bobby Tewksbary and it all made sense. On the first day of Managerial Finance during Bobby’s junior year at the University of Vermont, Professor David Harrison kept repeating the phrase, “Maximize long-term shareholder wealth.” Over and over and over. This was the intent behind everything Professor Harrison would teach over the semester. If Bobby did not understand this phrase, he would not have understood Managerial Finance.
Maximizing YOUR long-term athletic development!
We’ll repeat it over and over if we need to. The intent behind every single program we design, every repetition you take, and every weight you lift is to maximize your long-term athletic development. Unless you understand this about A.B. Athletic Development, you won’t get the full benefit of our instruction and programs.
We are full-time athletic development.
Cofounders Austin and Bobby quit their “real” jobs. They weren’t much fun anyway. Now they get to work with athlete’s all the time. But it’s so much more than that. When kids are in school, they are reading articles, studying video, and create programs specifically designed to, “Maximize long-term athletic development.”
